A Quick Word:
Now I know seeing and reading testimonials is pretty much the same as saying “Oh I love to pay taxes”...simply not to be believed. But I will ONLY print what I receive from club makers and golfers without any creative input from me. I'll print the negative ones too. That's the TRUTH....and why there is a new product line called....
THE XCALIBERS!!!!!

Hi Robin,
Just thought I would let you know that the winner of the NZPGA Tour School in January won with the Xcal 7TS shaft in his driver.
I am starting to get some of our young tour pros wanting to come and talk to me about them so the word is getting around just how good the shafts are.
Cheers,
Dennis

Robin,
Just a note to let you know, we here at Pinseekers, have been BIG fans of the X Cals since introduction ..... here's why .... you have an excellent product, at a reasonable price, that performs as good or better than some of the $200-300 shafts now on the market.
And now that you have Hybrid Shafts, Iron Shafts, and a Tour Line, the sky is the limit. We sold more X Cal's last year than any of the other Graphite shaft being handled by our shop.
Most folks are un-familiar with the AXE/X Caliber brand, but with a little “satisfaction guaranteed” pitch we’ve put together, most customers are willing to try them. To date, we have yet to have our first complaint .... not even a derogatory comment.
We are not a big shop, but we do a nice business ..... we have but one more suggestion for you .... how about a line of shafts for Ladies that could be added to the existing lineup???
Keep doing what you've done thus far, and as soon as people better understand the issue of cost vs performance, we believe we will see even deeper in-roads captured by X Cal.
Hope all is well with you.

Robin,
Thanks for sharing the email and especially the parchment, which is going up on the wall in my shop. After meeting you a couple of times at the Golfworks schools, I advocate what you have been telling the world and I push your shafts wherever I can. Thanks again and take care.

Hi Robin,
Thanks for taking time to talk with me. Very interesting story. Keep up the good work and thank you for creating yet another great product. Sense the day we spent time together at Dale’s place in WV back in the Winter and you gave me a few demo shafts, I have become a “REAL” believer of the XCal line. I have sold a number of the shafts and folks love them. I have a customer with a 1 handicap playing your TS shaft and is saying it is the best feeling shaft he has ever used. I am playing the XCal 5 and also have to say I can't remember playing a better shaft. Again thank you for creating a great product at an even better price. The truth never hurts.

Robin,
I just wanted to give you a quick update. I just played 9 holes with the new AXE Tour. First let me tell you how I built the club. I used a 9* SMT DB+ head. The SMT driver heads are a little light in weight so I added clubhead tac to get the weight of the head around 210 grams. I installed the Tour shaft in TS flex with no tip trimming. I did my final cut at the butt end of the shaft. I cut it to 44”. I used a Karakal black and white grip. When I installed the grip it is at 44 1/4” playing length. Which seems ideal for me. I like clubs with higher swingweight. Not really higher total weight, except for the irons (I do like higher swingweight and total weight in the irons). Fisrt thing this combo looks really good. The black and white clubhead with the black and chrome shaft and the black and white grip look really good and uniformed.
Let me tell you it performs as good as it looks. This is a stout shaft. It is not for the faint of heart. For me personally I don't feel I have to overpower it though. What I like about it is the way I can work the ball. I can work it and it doesn't overhook or it doesn't turn into a big cut or a slice. I was literally picking targets in the fairway and within 7-10 yards of them. I really can't tell about the spin yet. I don't have a launch monitor and when I played today the ground is still extremely wet. My first impressions are this: LONG, stable, on target, low spin, looks good, and did I mention LONG? :)
I believe I will be ordering some more of these shafts. Keep up the good work Robin!

I believe this is one of the best shafts I've ever hit...period. Don't have to worry about going after the ball and the shaft not holding up. Also love the trajectory. It's working great in my driver and I'm thinking of ordering a FW for my 3wd.

Robin, I finally built a PFT 10.8* head for myself and put the tour stiff shaft in it. I played with it for the first time yesterday and can't remember a club that so quickly fell into line. It was very windy and I was able to control the trajectory at will. A boring low flying draw missile or a soaring light fade. Accuracy was amazing and the ball allways stayed on it's intended line. Any misses were only slightly offline and little distance lost. Going after the ball with gusto didnt faze the shaft either. What a fantastic shaft. I will definately be experimenting with some fairway woods this summer.

I was totally surprised and blown away by the feel and performance of this shaft. A bit about me: Driver SS avg 105mph, avg dvr distance 240 carry, 7 iron 155-160 yds carry. I generally hit a straight ball, sometimes a 3 to 7 yard fade. My miss is a pull left. Play at sea level here in Halifax, it is almost always windy. Age 42, fit and athletic. I'm a bit of a golf driver hoarder. Have had 9 different drivers and approximately 23 different shafts during the past 3 years. Recently, as of 2010, fell in love with the TM Superfast TP (the non-white version). Sold my entire stash of drivers and bought three TM Superfast TP - one retail $399 and two more from ebay (both new) with registered serial numbers for $125 and $131 respectively. So I needed to find the correct shaft. I have tried all the big names MRC Diamana Blue Board, Marix OZIK HD6, Voodoo SVS6, Motore F1 55&65 all in stiff flex and many more. All shafts have been SST pured. So on a whim I placed an order for the AXE Tour TS stiff; had it SST pured. Build three drivers, all the same club head ( superfast tp), same grip (Golf Pride VDR blue), same ferrule, 4x wraps of grip tape, 4 gr tip weight, 44.75” in length, one with the Xcaliber Tour in stiff, one with the Diamana Blueboard 63s and one with a Fujikura Motore F1 65s ...and off to the range I go. I'll keep it short: best for feel through impact and transition to downswing - the Xcaliber; best ball flight for me which is mid to high - the Xcaliber, best performance - the Xcaliber ( I was carrying the 250 yd sign into a 10km/h (6mph) head/cross wind with srixon range balls), all others were shorter by 3-7 yds, no ballooning, a nice angle of decent with some roll, maybe 2-3 yards on a wet and soft driving range These shafts are fantastic. I now feel real foolish for forking out $250.00 plus for other shafts that do NOT perform better, at least for me. I will upgrade my fairways (3 and 5) and one hybrid club (22*) to AXE XCaliber shafts. Having just found these great shafts and having done a side by side out door comparison why would I ever pay more for a slick paint job that doesn't perform better. I won't. Great job Robin, you know how to produce a great shaft at a price that is awesome!
